These days, beekeepers can choose from a whole range of different bee feeds. Besides the traditional self-made sugar solution and the longestablished ready-made feed based on sucrose, starch-conversion products have been in use for some years. This paper presents the results of scientific feeding experiments with sucrose-based and starch-based ready-made feed.
